Who are we? – Albion Lofts
We are a small family firm based in the small historic village of Ditchling, near Brighton, in East Sussex. We have been established since September 2005 and although we are a new company our foundations go back over 15 years.
Driving the company forward is Simon James. He graduated at Brighton University in 1996, with a Bachelor in Science in Building Engineering and Management. During his degree he spent a year with the Loft Conversion Centre and quickly developed a keen eye for design and site management. In fact, he gained so much experience that he later became Projects Manager of the company after spending a couple of years managing sites with Barratt Homes – gaining crucial experience in managing large sites and dealing with important clients.
However, Simon’s experience didn’t just start at university. The family trade is carpentry and he had spent years helping out at his father’s loft conversion company and having first hand experience, seeing jobs from start to finish.
Not only does Simon run the company, he is also the man who comes to visit when you make your enquiry. He will listen to your ideas and is then able to give you a design scheme, showing you exactly what you are to expect. His service is professional and aims to make the process of buying a loft conversion as painless as possible.
When it comes to the build of your new loft conversion, Simon leaves this in the capable hands of his expert team of two carpenters – one is his brother Adam and the other is his uncle Michael. Adam has ten years experience in loft conversions and Michael worked for Laing Construction for 30 years as a Project Manager before joining the family firm.
We all pride ourselves on our work and maintain an exacting standard during the entirety of each loft conversion, giving you the best peace of mind we can. Because we know the high standard or our work, you’ll be happy too. All you have to do is give us a call.
